Seattle offers many fun outdoor activities when it is sunny and pleasant. If you like to shop little boutiques this place is for you. Among the many self employed artists this city has a fun young vibe to it. If you enjoy art try going out for the city art walk. This is held every 1st Thursday of each month in pioneer's square. There a few old buildings that house these artist's collections. Many buildings provide food and drink to those who come to appreciate their completed works. If nightlife is a plus in your book; be sure to stop by capitol hill for some unique bars. A plus is all buildings are smoke free. If you are looking for a relaxing day try taking a ferry across the bay to Alki Beach in W. Seattle. You can also take your bike if you have one and ride around the strip. The city is very bike friendly. There are plenty of maps available with bikes routes included. The beach is a great place to get a great view of Seattle's space needle. There are many places to get a snack or stop for a meal.
If you have more than a few days try visiting some of the national park treasures. Mount Renier is about 90 minutes away from Seattle. It offers some amazing wild life and enchanting scenes. Mt. Olympus can be seen when traveling to the Pacific rim of the west side of the state. There are several tourist attractions and cities to port a ferry. La Push is a Indian reservation. Most recently made famous by a scene shot in Twilight the movie. Forks , a small logging town, also offers a Twilight tour. Just south of Forks is a rainforest complete with trails.
Last but not least you can go see Mt. Baker in north Washington, or take a day to visit Vancouver Canada. Just make sure you have a passport.
